DynCorp International Wins $20 Million LOGCAP IV Task Order
FALLS
CHURCH, Va – February 24, 2009 – The U.S. Army Sustainment Command has
authorized DynCorp International (NYSE:DCP) to proceed under a $20.8
million LOGCAP IV task order for support of the Udairi Army Airfield in
Kuwait.
This task order was awarded to DynCorp International
on December 18, 2008, but was under a stay-of-performance due to a
protest by the incumbent. The stay-of-performance was lifted February
23, 2009, following denial of the protest by the Government
Accountability Office.
This is the second task order award to DynCorp International for support services in Kuwait under LOGCAP IV.
DynCorp
International will be responsible for a full range of services at
Udairi Army Airfield, including firefighting, fire protection support,
equipment and vehicle maintenance, airfield operations, flight
dispatch, air traffic control tower services, and weather observation
and forecasting services.
The potential value of this task
order is $20.8 million for a transition period and one year at full
performance. Up to four option years may also be awarded at the
discretion of the government.
Under the LOGCAP IV contract,
DynCorp International is one of three providers who will support U.S.
forces worldwide with immediate focus on those deployed in the Middle
East. DynCorp International holds several important logistics and
contingency contracts for the U.S. military, and was the sole holder of
the LOGCAP II contract from 1997-2002.
