CHURCH, Va. – August 26, 2008 – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers,
Afghan Engineering District, has awarded DynCorp International
(NYSE:DCP) a $18.1 million construction project supporting the
Afghanistan National Civil Order Police. The project will provide
offices, living and operational facilities, motor pool, guard towers
and a perimeter wall for 305 police personnel with the Patrol Unit
Brigade Headquarters and Patrol Battalion in Garmser, Helmand Province,
Afghanistan. Work will be completed in a period of 360 days.
This
firm, fixed-price task order is the second to DynCorp International
under the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers indefinite delivery/indefinite
quantity contract for general construction in Afghanistan.
The
award is the latest in a series of construction projects in Afghanistan
managed by DynCorp International that include the Afghanistan National
Army garrisons in Jalalabad and Kunduz.
