FALLS CHURCH, Va. (August 14, 2007) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Transatlantic
Command, has awarded DynCorp International (NYSE:DCP) one of five
indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts for
general construction in Afghanistan. The contract covers one base
year and two option years and has a potential value of $1.8 billion
for all awardees over the contract's lifetime, not to exceed $600
million per year.
Individual task orders with values ranging from $5 to $25 million
will be issued on a firm-fixed-price basis. Upcoming work will
involve replacement, renovation, repairs, and new construction
throughout Afghanistan.
